Epilouge

I have been getting a lot of traffic on this blog, and a lot of emails about this blog, recently. It startles me for many reasons, the main being that it has been nearly four years since it has been updated. I guess it was a good idea to use "american" "hipster" "Paris" in the google search thing. The other reason it's odd is because I am a blogger-- that's right I ditched the Science Po education and became a blogger in NYC. This was the first time I took to writing and, to be perfectly honest, the first time I realized I really liked writing, and now I'm trying to be a writer. Strange, how those things come back to you.

I guess I just wanted to give some closure to the blog, maybe to help people who oddly find it while searching for cool, hip things to do while in Paris. Maybe to help myself, though I got my closure from my time there years ago and in a very different way. I live in New York City now, in Queens. I write for www.thewildhoneypie.com and the official Brooklyn Flea site. I haven't been back to Paris since living there, and I often joke that if I did, I would never come back to the states. That's a lie though, I am a New Yorker in training now, my home is not in there, the city would feel like the past. There is nothing for me in Paris anymore.

If you are interested in asking me about Paris, you can email me at hannah.ylan@gmail.com. Though it has been four years since my time there, and I may send you to places that aren't cool any more. The best advice I have is to look around yourself while you're there, stumbling into something amazing is a reward that will stay with you, I promise. If you liked my writing you can read it at either of the two sites I just mentioned or at my personal/portfolio site www.missangst.com. I try and put unpublished stuff up there too, though it's been a little difficult to find time to write for myself lately.

Lastly, thanks for continuing to read. In one way this has made me feel like there is a specter Hannah wandering around Paris, one who never got on that plane one July morning and left. I like thinking that, I bet she's still having a really unforgettable time.
